Intro to moviemaking
No experience needed! Cinema Academy’s Short FIlm Bootcamp is a fun and vibrant summer program for high school students interested in creating films.
Spend a week with IU faculty and staff learning how to make movies like the pros. In this camp, you'll spend each day on campus doing activities and practicing basic techniques learned in workshops and tutorials. During the week we'll go over cameras, lenses, cinematography, lighting, editing, sound production, and more as campers make individual and group projects exploring documentary, experimental, and narrative filmmaking. This is a great introduction to making movies and to IU's campus.
This camp is best suited for students who are interested in making films, but have little to no experience creating them.
